Hi All! We are very busy with tree work! I snuck (sneeked?) away for a night to go collecting on Mt Graham in Southeast Arizona. I found some nice wood boring beetles on logging residue, and collected a few beetles at lights. It is a beautiful place!
The photo below was taken using a home-made concave diffuser and 3 Canon Speedlights. What do you think of the quality of the light?
Below is an HDR photo taken from my campsite in the morning.
Beautiful beetle and a beautiful camping site!!
Actually, it’s “sneaked” 🙂 I like those photos.
I vote for “snucked.” How were the Speedlites mounted? Cool beetle but you know my opinion of most HDR.
I have one on the hotshoe and two on arms out in front of the lens over the subject. I’m using a a home-made concave diffuser to soften the light.
